Following the Blists Hill and Gower weekend I figured why not stop somewhere on the way home, so after a quick google, I found St Fagans National Museum of History located just West of Swansea. It was a cool overcast day, but at least it was dry
This a museum with a difference, it has over 40 relocated building through a large site, with walk ways between them. Many of the building have been rebuilt as they were i.e. in some there is no glass in the windows, no lights, just open roaring fires and a few candles to light the rooms. Against the staff were helpful and it was well worth a visit
Remember to click an image to see it larger and then use left/right cursor or mouse to move between the images
While the castle upper floors are closed, the grounds are a great place to stroll, still plenty of colour in the garden
